Hosted by the Friends of the Museums of Mississauga

Benares Historic House

Come out and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the magnificent Benares Historic House. Wander the lawns, taste our strawberry shortcake and see local artists and artisans, who will be showcasing and selling their work – art, pottery, blown glass, jewellry, mosaics and wood-working.

Live music will be featured and food and refreshments sold on site.

Carassauga Festival

Carassauga, Mississauga’s Festival of Cultures, is coming up, from May 25-27, 2012!

Come out to experience the tastes and sounds at the largest multicultural festival in Ontario. In 2012, 26 Pavilions representing 60 cultures will give visitors the opportunity to travel the world without leaving the city.

Kickoff with the Opening Night Ceremony at Celebration Square takes place on May 19 from 2- 4 pm.

Passports are available for $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult passport holder. A passport entitles visitors unlimited entry to all Pavilions during Festival hours. Passports are sold throughout the GTA at retail outlasts, community centres, libraries and by all Pavilions.

During the Festival, passport holders RIDE FREE on Mississauga transit simply by presenting their passport!!

IN ORDER TO VOTE AT THE AGM, YOUR MEMBERSHIP MUST DATE BACK TO MARCH 31, 2012

1. Existing members must be in “good standing” ie/ must have paid their $4.00 renewal fee for the balance of the 2012 calendar year before the start of the AGM.

2. New members may vote provided they obtained their membership, ie/ paid the $5 2012 membership fee by March 31, 2012.

We love to hear from the community we represent. This is a night to let us know how we are doing and what can be improved. We value your support!
